Fresh fish and seafood are very much omnipresent in all of Carboneras’ local bars and restaurants. When in season, the ‘galanes’, local moniker for this tasty white fleshed fish, is almost exclusively found in the local waters near town. The Felipe and Divine Sea, two excellent fish restaurants, are impressive ones worthy of a visit.
The best way to buy fresh fish is on Thursdays. On this day, the local market starts operations in the town center. Anything aside from seafood can be bought here, most often ceramics and handicrafts from neighboring towns.
